Today I happened to come across a blog that was pretty insulting to one of my favorite infomercial people - Gary Spivey.  I chided the author a bit then decided to post a bit of data here on Gary since I now had him on my mind.

For those of you who don't know Gary - he operates a psychic consulting business in Ojai, CA.  He's done a couple infomercials over the years.

Gary has a unique way of dressing and definitely stands out in a room.

He is also one of the nicest guys that I have ever met.  I had the opportunity to interview him in Chicago a few years ago.  He was more concerned that I was comfortable and had enough to eat then he was about me taking his time for what turned out to be a couple hour interview.

Gary's not the only infomercial host that I have heard people make fun of - fact is - they've got a lot more confront than most to follow their dream and manage to get an infomercial produced.

Yes, his hair is a little unusual - so was Einstein's so is the kid on your block who has purple hair or a mohawk - so what?  Fact is - the guy followed his dream, brought his idea to someone and got an infomercial produced - and I can tell you that his infomercials pulled the calls - so he must have been doing something right.  He deserves some credit.
